Dasani is getting a new water purifying machine to replace its old air purifiers talkSport
Dasani India’s new air purifying unit will soon be replacing its older machine, according to its brand director-general and senior sales and marketing manager Rajesh Kumar.
The new machine will have an internal water purification unit, and it will also be able to take up to five liters of water per hour, Kumar told CNBC-TV18.
He did not elaborate.
Dasani also plans to introduce its first water purifiers in India.
“We have developed a brand new water Purifier, which is designed to be a water puriter, and will be available to all customers by the end of June,” Kumar said.
Dasan India, a subsidiary of Dasani, announced in April it was buying Dasani Water, which has a market cap of about $8 billion, to help it expand its water supply network in India, India’s second-largest economy.
It is also expected to buy a third water purifing unit, Dasani Aquafina, which manufactures purification systems and water filters for household use, in addition to the Dasani unit.
Dasano, a unit of the Japanese conglomerate Sumitomo Mitsui, announced last month that it would purchase Dasani in a $1.2 billion deal to bolster its global water supply and business.
The acquisition of Dasano would give the company access to about $20 billion of cash, according an investor presentation on the company’s website.
