Dasani Pure Water, which purifies air by adding pure oxygen to water, is the latest company to hit the headlines with their efforts to clean air and water in the US.
The company has come under fire in recent months due to allegations that the purified water contains toxic chemicals, and some have called for its recall.
In March, the FDA told Dasani that it was not required to remove the chemicals because the product was a household product.
The FDA told a similar story in March 2018, when it said the company had “no reason to believe that the contaminants in the product would pose health risks.”
But the FDA has not yet confirmed those claims.
Dasani also announced that it would soon begin using the purified air to purify water, though it has not made an official announcement.
The product was first unveiled in 2018 and has been used in water purification systems for over a decade.
Since then, the company has been expanding the use of the purified solution to include other products like showerheads, clothes, and furniture.
